The British Section of the Combustion Institute is organizing the 12th European Combustion Meeting (ECM), which will take place in Edinburgh, UK from 8th -11th April 2025.
The ECM is a forum of knowledge transfer in the field of combustion science and related scientific disciplines.
The three-day conference will include five plenary lectures and five poster sessions that will cover advanced topics related to combustion science as we aim to transition to a carbon-neutral society while able to meet the societial energy demands.
The ECM 2025 provides a great opportunity for colleagues from academia and industry to gather and have insightful discussions within the various areas of combustion science. The ECM 2025 will gather together 400+ participants from over 40 countries. The topics included within the ECM 2025 include:
Topics
- Low-emission combustion technologies
- Gas-phase reaction kinetics
- Laminar flames
- Turbulent flames
- Detonation, explosion, and supersonic combustion
- Fire research
- Diagnostics
- Numerical Combustion
- Propulsion
- Spray, droplet, and supercritical flows
- Soot, nanomaterials, and large molecules
